Ashley & Eric’s Elegant Villa la Joya Wedding with Lush Green Florals and Classic Style

Ashley and Eric’s wedding at Villa la Joya was a celebration of elegant design, meaningful moments, and the people they love most.

From the moment guests arrived through Villa la Joya’s iconic wrought iron gates, the day unfolded effortlessly from one beautiful space to the next. Every detail felt intentional, creating a wedding that was refined, welcoming, and filled with genuine joy and AMOR.

A Garden-Inspired Ceremony on Villa la Joya’s Grand Staircase

The ceremony took place on Villa la Joya’s grand staircase, where soft white draping transformed the altar while allowing the villa’s beautiful Mediterranean-inspired architecture to remain an important part of the design.

Guests followed an aisle framed with lush greenery that softened the stone courtyard and created the feeling of walking through a garden. At the top of the staircase, sculptural white calla lilies, orchids, and delicate blue accents framed the ceremony, adding texture and elegance without overwhelming the space.

One of our favorite moments came as Ashley and Eric exchanged vows. A gentle Caribbean breeze caught her cathedral-length veil, creating one of those beautiful destination wedding moments that simply can’t be planned.

Classic Bridal Fashion with Effortless Elegance

Ashley embraced classic bridal style in a satin ballgown with delicate straps, elegant opera gloves (we are still thinking about those gloves), and a cathedral-length veil. Her bouquet of white calla lilies and orchids reflected the floral design seen throughout the celebration, creating a beautiful sense of continuity from ceremony to reception.

Eric looked equally sophisticated in a perfectly tailored black tuxedo with a traditional bow tie and a simple white boutonniere. Together, their style felt polished, refined, and totally authentic to them.

A Celebration Centered Around Family

After the ceremony, guests made their way to Villa la Joya’s oceanfront terrace, where dinner, conversation, and celebration unfolded against the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea.

Ashley and Eric chose a head table, sharing dinner with their closest family and friends rather than sitting separately at a sweetheart table. It was a simple choice that perfectly reflected the atmosphere of the day.

This wedding brought together every generation to celebrate together. Children danced alongside parents and grandparents, conversations continued long after dinner was served, and by the end of the evening the dance floor was filled with guests of every age.

Personalized maracas waiting at each place setting added a fun Mexican touch and became the perfect noisemakers as everyone welcomed the newlyweds into the reception.

Lush Green Florals That Let the Venue Shine

The floral design was elegant and understated while still making a lasting impression.

Layers of lush greenery created movement and texture throughout the ceremony and reception, while white calla lilies, orchids, and subtle blue accents added elegance exactly where they were needed. Rather than competing with the venue, every arrangement complemented Villa la Joya’s architecture and natural surroundings.

From Ashley’s bouquet to the reception centerpieces, the entire floral design felt cohesive, fresh, and thoughtfully curated. A little love to the team at Cherry Blossom. The floral design was absolutely beautiful.

Thoughtful Details Throughout the Day

Every detail reflected the same refined style.

Botanical-inspired stationery, natural wood chairs, candlelight, paper lanterns, and a personalized dance floor all worked together to create an atmosphere that felt warm and inviting.

The wedding cake was finished with smooth white buttercream and topped with fresh strawberries. It was a beautiful reminder that sometimes the simplest designs make the biggest impression.

As the sun disappeared and the lanterns began to glow above the courtyard, the celebration naturally shifted into an evening filled with music, laughter, and dancing beneath the stars.
