“Nick and I met while working at a startup in the DC area. We were among the first few employees, which meant lots of long days and shared goals that quickly turned into something more. A few years later, he proposed at Christmas. He started by giving my 10-year-old daughter a Tiffany’s necklace, then got down on one knee. Including her in that moment meant the world to both of us—it was incredibly sweet and thoughtful.”

“I really focused on the guest experience and the music. I knew people were traveling far to be there, and I wanted to make sure it felt worth it. One of my favorite parts of the day was during dinner—we played each married couple’s first dance song from their own wedding. A few couples even got up to dance again to their special song. It was incredibly sweet and made the night feel that much more meaningful.”

The reception was a celebration in every sense—joyful, energetic, and full of family-friendly fun. Kids brought the dance floor to life early in the night, while the grownups kept it going until late. Tacos made a late-night appearance, and the disco balls? Truly divine. If you’re considering them, do it—the sparkle is unforgettable.

“Our wedding theme was classic, romantic, and all white. I wanted something timeless that wouldn’t feel dated years down the line. The backdrop of the venue and the ocean was already so stunning, I kept the decor simple. The florals, disco balls, and string lights really set the mood, and it was exactly the vibe I envisioned.”

“If I could go back, I would stress less about the small stuff. The Villa Planners are true professionals, and everything was beautifully handled. I do wish I had finalized my hair and makeup inspiration earlier, and I definitely recommend securing your room blocks well in advance so guests have time to plan. Send out your invites early with all your wedding website and travel info!”
